Mangotsfield Junction |

Layout tour Page 3 |
Mangotsfield Junction is now largely complete. A Colliery is occupying the left hand corner. Both the Chocolate, and the Coal Mine siding, making for interesting shunting operations. Many happy hours were spent building the canopies and scratch building the station buildings. A village scene occupies the space behind the station. More signalling needs to added, and some more furniture around the station. |

The reverse loop (4) |
The reverse loop is powered by a Digitrax DB150 auto reversing booster this allows seam free running along the reverse loop. The picture shows Malago Warf. Both ends of the loop start and finish at Wurzel Junction. The loop also contains the Bournemouth West fiddle yard. Uncoupling is by means of Kadee magnetic uncouplers beneath the base board. |
The operating timetable is based on two actual time tables for Bath Green Park. Just like the real thing we frequently run late! Incorporated into the main fascia of the layout is my fast clock this is linked into the loconet system this really works well. We normally operate at 2 times speed. |
