The Ivatt tank takes a fairly large decoder in the cab. In order to aid re-assembly
Drill through the fire wall to take the decoder wires. The fire wall must be in placed with the decoder wires passed through it before re-assembly. The red and black wires pass over the top of the tank and are soldered to the brass tags for the front pickups

For those of you that are interested in History. The two above pictures taken nearly 8 years ago from one of my first DCC installations. This shows a Farish West Country chassis Fitted with a ZTC 211 decoder using the three wire method. This is used to be unique to certain ZTC decoders, and the Graham Farish chassis.

The above is my first installation in an Ivatt chassis, the Digitrax DN121 decoder is fitted in the cab, the orange and grey wires to the motor pass through the firewall. The second photo shows a replacement circlip made from decoder wire
Its lasted for several years.
