Since January 2002, Hunts and Hounds Africa has been affiliated to Wildrose Kennels U.S.A.  

Mike Stewart of Wildrose is the official trainer for Ducks Unlimited and has trained the Ducks Unlimited mascot "Drake" as well as many other top retrievers.  

Mike and Darryl's appreciation for fine English Labs has lead to this affiliation.  We both seek only the best working lines; dogs with drive and passion to hunt and please, yet quiet and biddable.

We believe in the "Gentleman's Gundog" and both enjoy the gentlemanly sport of Wingshooting over fine English Pointers and English Labrador Retrievers. 

Darryl trains his dogs in South Africa under the same trial and tested methods that Mike does.   

So when hunting in Africa, you can only expect the best retrievers and a high standard of Wingshooting.

Mike will answer any questions you have concerning hunting in Africa, as he has just recently visited and enjoyed wonderful South Africa as well as some fast Rock Pigeon shooting.
