Denis McLintock and Leon Riley are both originally from Natal. Dennis used to be an administration manager for a chemical company whilst Leon used to be a banker. Tired of the Rat race and city life they saw an advertisement in the paper for the Tradouw Guesthouse. On their holiday to the Cape they thought they would pass through Barrydale just to take a look. They did not even know where Barrydale was and had to use a map book to find the place! It was love at first sight. The rest is history.
