Barrydale
Barrydale is layered in a history that is largely colourful and enterprising. There are many interesting things to do in Barrydale and the surrounding areas. The Peace Pagoda is a monument to peace which is situated about 15 km outside Barrydale. There are also various churches in Barrydale that make up for much of Barrydale's history and diversity. The pub called Ronnies Sex Shop is cast in a comical history that is typical of the Little Karoo. Besides the indoors there is much to do outdoors in the fresh Karoo air, such as mountain swimming, hiking, tennis and wine tasting and trout fishing. Barrydale also has a fantastic climate that is warm in both summer and winter. Barrydale also has all the basic facilities that one needs. There is a bank for foreign exchange, a post office, a supermarket and a doctor. In all, Barrydale has all the basic facilities for one to enjoy a safe and secure country atmosphere of fresh air and African sun.
