Wishes: While in the studio over the weekend we finally got to hear the first mix of "Wishes" with Jenna from Scarlet Box on backing vocals. Jenna's voice and the string section we added has really made the song come alive! Thanks Jen!!! You Rock!!!
07/09:
Left Outside first Mix: As we mentioned before "Left Outside" will be the first official single from our new album, "The Hand That's Dealt". Yesterday we finished the first mix of the track at B# Studios. We will spend this weekend listening to the mix and make the final changes to it during next week. As soon as this is done the track will go for mastering and then we can submit it to the radio stations. This mix will also be used as a template for the rest of the album which will speed up the mixing process.
Lost Pieces: We can now confirm that "Pieces" from the demo copy of our new album will be changed to "Lost". This is after a complete lyrical rewrite of the track. Those of you who plan to attend our gig at Tempos on 28 Sept will be lucky enough to be the first people to hear the new version of the track.
New Sponsor: DD4E is proud to welcome Not Sheep to our ever growing family of sponsors. Look out for Not Sheep merchandise at our gigs some time in the near future.

"Left Outside" has been chosen as the first single and will be mixed and mastered before the rest of the tracks in order to get it playlisted on radio as soon as possible. The Hand That's Dealt: As you all know by now we are currently busy re-recording the whole album at B# Studios. What a pleasure it is to work with John Paul!!! The man is a true professional and truly one of the best producers in South Africa. Under his suburb guidance Travis managed to record the drum tracks for the WHOLE album in one afternoon!!! Roy is going into the studio to record the bass tracks on Saturday (5 May). If things keep going at this pace we will have completed a Killer album in almost no time!!! We would also like to take this time to thank John Paul for helping us out when we really needed him. Our hats off to you John Paul!!!

The Hand That's Dealt: We are devastated to say that the commercial release of THTD will be delayed for a while. Due to unforeseen circumstances we will now have to re-record the whole album with legendary rock producer John Paul Destefani at B# Studios. John Paul recorded our debut EP, Detonator, which received rave reviews not only in South Africa but also in the U.S.A. We are well aware that you have been anxiously waiting for the new album therefore we are wasting no time getting back into the studio. Travis will start on the drum tracks on Sunday and I will record the bass tracks in next week. We would like to apologize to all our fans for this delay but believe us this was out of our hands.
Gigs: We would like to thank everyone who rocked up at Roxy's on Saturday to watch us share the stage with our buds from A New Grey. This was their first show and they blew everybody away!!! Well done guys!!! Keep on Rocking!!!
04/04:
DD4E leaves SquareWave: Yes the rumours are true. DD4E has officially left SquareWave Records. At this point in time we as a band just feel that we have the drive and passion in the band to manage ourselves. All questions and show bookings can be send to roy@d-day.co.za.
The Hand That's Dealt: There seems to be a little bit of confusion regarding the Launch Party we had. The idea behind the show was to have a Pre-Release party in order to give everybody an idea of what was coming. The final commercial version of the CD is currently with John Paul Destefani at B# Studios where he is busy with the final mixing and mastering of the songs. The commercial copy of the CD will also feature the final cover design as well as some additional multi-media features. The commercial launch will take place in cooperation with SAMusic.Co.Za and Music Maker Magazine (Eventurous Productions have also shown an interest to get involved). The date and venue of the launch will be added to the website later. We would like to apologize for the confusion!!!
Gigs: You can catch DD4E next Friday (13 April) at Roxy's in Melville with our buds, A New Grey (make sure to check out their MySpace site at www.myspace.com/anewgrey). The Eventurous Festival that was planned for 21 April at the Voortrekker Monument has now moved to 2 June at the same venue.
DD4E on MySpace: DD4E has finally jumped on the MySpace bandwagon! You can visit our profile by going to www.myspace.com/dday4ever or by clicking Here. Make sure to join our Friends List!
