The New Gene Exchange!!

Dear Reader,

We're excited about changes that are underway in the Gene Exchange. Beginning in 1999, we will make the Gene Exchange available in three ways--by the Web, e-mail, and postal mail. This will allow us to get news to more of you faster.

First, the new, frequently updated newsletter will be posted periodically at our website-- . However, if you want to make sure that you see the changes, please request an e-mail version. We promise not to clutter your e-mail box.

Second, to receive e-mail updates every month or two, just send a message to In the subject line, write "subscribe genex" and in the body, write your e-mail address, name and postal address, and whether the postal address is home or work.

Third, if you don't have access to the Internet and can't receive e-mail, twice a year we'll send you a paper copy of what's been posted on the website. But we must hear from you before February 15 if you want to stay on the postal list. Otherwise, this will be your last paper issue. We apologize for the inconvenience--especially if you were just added to the mailing list.

The easiest way to stay on the postal list is to tear off this page, fold it so that the UCS address below appears on the outside, and mail.
