BREEDE RIVER WEEKEND BREAKAWAY

The Breede River is the ideal place to relax and get away from it all.

Close to Swellendam, this is an ideal week-end excursion. We offer you breath taking scenery in the comfort of your 2-man inflatable raft as you paddle down the river through the Breede River Valley.

Guests meet at our base camp, then spend the next day and a half enjoying the beautiful scenery. We overnight on the banks of the river and return to base for lunch on the second day.

With its source high in the majestic Cape mountains, this river offers one of the few close-at-hand settings.

COST AND DURATION

We run trips every weekend. Arriving at the base camp on Friday evening, we are transported to the put in point on Saturday morning, where we will begin down stream until Sunday afternoon when the trip ends at the base camp.

  • Weekend: 2 days, 2 nights - R695.00
  • Meeting: No later than 20h00 on the night prior to the start of the trip
  • Deposit: Non-refundable deposit of R350.00 per person
  • The balance is due 30 days prior to the trip

  • Experienced river guides
  • 2-man rafts with paddles and life jackets
  • Safety equipment and basic medical kit
  • Watertight containers for clothes and sleeping gear
  • Coolboxes and ice
  • Eating utensils and mug
  • All meals (please notify us well in advance of any special diets)

YOU BRING
  • All drinks and snacks
  • Sleeping gear (sleeping bag and mat, extra mat)
  • Clothing
  • Wetsuit
  • Toiletries and toilet paper
  • Sun protection, incl hat
  • All personal medication, eg asthma pumps, penicillin, etc li>Black bags to line containers
  • REMEMBER - no glass items on the river, please
