Animation of How It Works (letters) Step 1: Align the top left corner of the Wise Eye with the first line at the top of the flash word exercise book.

Step 2: Using the index finger, flick the botton down.

Step 3: Write or say the word revealed.

Step 4: To check what you wrote or said, move the Wise Eye to the next line down. The word which was revealed is now open.

Step 5: Continue down the page repeating steps 1 to 4. At times you may have to flick the button a few times if you are writing the words, however, your goal is to identify and write every word with a single flash, i.e. approximately 1/10 second.

Animation of How It Works (numbers) The single numbers and letters can be used by students that are beginning to learn their letters and numbers. The lessons with larger groups of numbers and letters can be used to build speed and accuracy of identification and the ability to retain what was seen in a more ordered fashion (visual memory) and to increase the students span of recognition.

The instructor is to choose letters or groups of letters from the large exercise book for the student to practice marking them with a non-permanent marker (this indicates which elements the student is to look for).

Animation of How It Works (groups) The student is to mark all the letters or groups of letters in the large exercise book indicated as quickly as possible, also with a non-permanent marker. The student is to start on the left, top corner and works his/her way through each line from left to right. The student is not to skip any line.

The number recognised and the time measured in minutes and seconds is recorded and written down after each paragraph.

The recorded results can be written on a record card. These exercises should be repeated a minimum of four times a week. It is important that every paragraph be repeated at least 18 times over a period of time. The large exercise book is designed to be used repeatedly, provided non-permanent markers are used.
