The Gay Frontier
The last five years have added
a list of popular destinations to the gay travel map. Countries such as
Australia, New Zealand and Thailand have expanded the the realm of gay
tourism far beyond the old paradigm of sexual tourism and sunny enclaves.
These countries have become popular for their winning combination of gay-
friendly atmosphere and inherent travel interest. The "New South Africa"
is the latest addition to our travel map, and it is prdicted that it will
quickly become one of the most important destinations for international
gay travel.
The New Constitution
The abolition of Apartheid and
the institution of free elections were world-lauded changes in South Africa.
With the political changes came a new constitution which made South Africa
the first country in the world to constitutionally prohibit discrimination
based on sexual
orentation.
With this new freedom and new protection, South Africa's low-key gay population is poised to emerge with world-class vivacity. That combined with the country's natural tourist appeal will make South Africa a premier gay destination by the turn of the century.

that straddles the southern end of the continent. It features stunning

successful.
South Africa, situated on the opposite side of the globe is blessed by nature, it offers spectacular scenery and agreeable weather all year round. A well developed communications and transportation infrastructure makes travel easy and safe.
