COMPOSITION:
Each soap tablet contains 5% m/m
monosulfiram.

PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION:
A 13.2 Antiscabies medicines.

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
TETMOSOL is a parasiticide, active against the burrowing mite Sarcoptes scabiei.

INDICATIONS:
For the treatment and prophylaxis of scabies. The soap is especially useful for prophylaxis in hospitals and schools.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
TETMOSOL is contraindicated in patients who have previously shown an idiosyncratic response to its application.

DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
TETMOSOL is used in place of ordinary toilet soap for the prophylaxis of scabies. Ideally, the person should bathe in hot water and soap themselves liberally with TETMOSOL soap paying particular attention to the folded areas of the skin. After bathing, the body should be allowed to dry naturally or dried with a towel using a 'blotting' action. TETMOSOL soap should be used daily for as long as the danger of infection remains.
Suitable for both adults and children.

SIDE EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
Cases of erythematous rash have been reported.

KNOW SYMPTOMS OF OVERDOSAGE AND PARTICULARS OF ITS TREATMENT:
Treatment is supportive and symptomatic.

IDENTIFICATION:
A perfumed yellow soap tablet bearing the name TETMOSOL.

PRESENTATION:
75 g tablets.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
Store in the manufacturer's original wrapping.
Keep out of reach of children.
