SAMBUCUS COMP. DROPS

Sinus & Post-Nasal Drip Remedy

COMPOSITION:   Per 100 g
  Sambucus nigra, Flos et Folium D3 25g 
  Berberis, Fructus D6 25g 
  Teucrium scorodonia, Herba D4 25g 
  Phosphorus D6 25g 
  Alcohol 27% m/m 

INDICATIONS:
  1) Post-nasal drip.
  2) Acute and chronic nasal and pharangeal catarrh.
  3) Hayfever.
  4) Acute and chronic rhinitis.
  5) Acute and chronic sinusitis.

MODE OF ACTION:
Sambucus: a diaphoretic which reduces nasal secretion.
Berberis: reduces swelling of mucous membranes.
Teucrium: reduces swelling of mucous membranes.
Phosphorous: counteracts inflammation of the bronchial system.
         
DOSAGE: Unless otherwise directed,
10-12 drops to be taken in a little water three times daily before meals.
         
COMMENT: In treating the above indications reduce the consumption of dairy products, sugars and any other foods for which the individual has a craving, as these are often allergenic. Sambucus comp. when taken together with Infludo(Weleda) is often effective for treating colds and flu. Take Sambucus comp together with Alumen chromicum comp (Weleda) for hayfever.

Other preparations for related conditions:
Silicea comp(Wala) for treating sinusitis.
Myristica sebifera comp (Wala) for thick green or yellow mucous and sinusitis.
Oleum Rhinale nasal oil(Weleda) for treating sinusitis and nasal catarrh.
