HAMAMELIS COMP. OINTMENT

Haemorrhoid Ointment

COMPOSITION:			Per 100 g
	Hamamelis, Destillata		2,5g
	Stibium metallicum praeparatum	D1	2,0g

INDICATIONS:

	1)	Internal and external haemorrhoids.
	2)	Anal fissures.
	3)	Anal eczema. anitis

MODE OF ACTION:

Hamamelis:	reduces vascular permeability (i.e. has an astringent action).
Stibium:	helps reduce inflammation and counteracts bleeding.
DOSAGE:	FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY Unless otherwise directed. Apply to the affected area 2 or 3 times daily
COMMENT:	This ointment may be used together with Achillea comp. drops (Weleda) externally and or Weleda Haemorrhoidal suppositories. It is advisable to increase the amount of roughage the diet. Also ensure that the person is not constipated. Be sure to advise the patient to consult a doctor if the condition continues for more than three to four weeks.
