COMPOSITION:
Each swab is saturated with a minimum of 70% v/v Isopropyl alcohol BP.
PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION:
A 13.1 Antiseptic and cleansing agents
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
Isopropyl alcohol is bactericidal. When applied to undamaged skin it will kill 90% of cutaneous bacteria within 2 minutes, provided that the area is kept moist during that time.
INDICATIONS:
For pre-operative skin cleansing.
For the preparation of injection sites.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
None if applied externally as it is slowly absorbed through intact skin.
WARNINGS:
For topical use only on intact undamaged skin.
Alcohol should not be brought into contact with some vaccines and skin test injections. If in doubt consult manufacturer's literature.
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Swab the area concerned for a period of 2 minutes, ensuring that the skin is kept moist.
SIDE EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
Skin reactions may occur.

Cartons containing 100 sachets.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
To be stored in a cool place at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
