COMPOSITION:
(per dispensing unit of 0,5 mL)
Lignocaine hydrochloride 20 mg; fluorescein sodium 1,25 mg.
PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION:
A 15.4 Ophthalmic preparations: Other.
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
Minims lignocaine and fluorescein combines the action of a local anaesthetic with that of the diagnostic stain fluorescein, which stains corneal and conjunctival abrasions or ulcers a bright green whilst foreign bodies are surrounded by a green ring.
INDICATIONS:
For diagnostic purposes only.
For use as a combined local anaesthetic and diagnostic stain.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
Known hypersensitivity to anaesthetics of this group.
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Adults: 1 or more drops as directed by the ophthalmologist.
Children: At the discretion of the ophthalmologist.
SIDE EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
Special care should be taken to protect the anaesthetised eye from foreign body contamination, particularly in elderly patients in whom the duration of anaesthesia may exceed thirty minutes.

IDENTIFICATION:
Clear, odourless, yellow solution.
PRESENTATION:
Sterile, single-dose disposable eye drops in cartons of 10 units, each containing approximately 0,5 mL.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
Store in the refrigerator protected from strong light. DO NOT FREEZE.
Keep out of reach of children.
