COMPOSITION:
Each suppository contains:
        The alcohol-soluble extract of 460 mg live yeast cells.
        Shark Liver Oil        69 mg.
Preservative:
        Chlorhexidine Gluconate 20% m/v solution:        0,45% - 0,55% m/m.

Each 100 g ointment contains:
*        7070 units (about 1 g) of the alcohol soluble extract of live yeast cells ("Bio-Dyne").
*        Shark Liver Oil 3 g (yielding approximately 850 IU Vitamin A per gram ointment).
Preservative:
        Chlorhexidine Gluconate        0,5 % m/m.

PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION:
A 11.8 Suppositories and anal ointments.

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
PREPARATION H® contains "Bio-Dyne" or (Skin Respiratory Factor) which has been shown to have healing powers on injured tissue and assists in shrinking haemorrhoids. Shark Liver Oil also has healing properties.

INDICATIONS:
Symptomatic relief of haemorrhoids.

WARNING:
PREPARATION H® OINTMENT: FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY.

DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
PREPARATION H® SUPPOSITORIES:
Remove the wrapping from one suppository and insert as far as possible into the rectum, rounded end first. Insert one suppository in the morning, one at night and one after each bowel movement for relief. For complete and lasting relief, continue treatment after the first signs of improvement.

PREPARATION H® OINTMENT:
Apply freely in the morning and night and after each bowel movement. Lubricate applicator before each application and thoroughly cleanse after use. For complete and lasting relief, continue treatment after the first signs of improvement.

SIDE EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
There are no reported side-effects. If the symptoms persist, consult a doctor.

IDENTIFICATION:
PREPARATION H® SUPPOSITORIES are off-white, bomb shaped suppositories, with one end hemispherical.

PREPARATION H® OINTMENT is a petrolatum-based ointment, orange-yellow in colour and with a distinctive odour. The ointment is contained in collapsible tubes with a special applicator.

PRESENTATION:
PREPARATION H® SUPPOSITORIES are individually wrapped and in packs of 12 and 24.

PREPARATION H® OINTMENT is available in tubes of 27 g and 50 g and is equipped with a special applicator nozzle.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
Store in a cool [below 25 °C] place.
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
