COMPOSITION
Each 10 mL contains:

Pentoxyverine Citrate	15 mg
Glyceryl Guaiacolate	100 mg
Sodium Citrate	500 mg
Chloroform	0,05 mL
Cetylpyridinium Chloride	2,5 mg
Alcohol	10,00% v/v
Sodium Benzoate added as preservative	0,1%

PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION
A 10.1 Antitussives and Expectorants

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION
Pentoxyverine Citrate is an effective antitussive. Glyceryl Guaiacolate, Sodium Citrate and Cetylpyridinium Chloride together aid expectoration.

INDICATIONS
VICKS ACTA PLUS tackles the common cough associated with colds and influenza. Because it contains an effective antitussive it calms the cough at its source, at the same time soothing the pharynx and removing irritants there. VICKS ACTA PLUS contains a combination of expectorants so that having calmed the cough, the product then helps the expulsion of mucous from the bronchial passages: VICKS ACTA PLUS helps control the build-up of phlegm.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Do not use if there is a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Take VICKS ACTA PLUS at three hourly intervals.
12 - 15 years 1 - 1½ medicine measuresful (5 - 7,5 mL)
16 years and over - 2 medicine measuresful (10 mL)

SIDE-EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
Guaiphenesin:

Guaiphenesin may cause gastro-intestinal discomfort. Very large doses cause nausea and vomiting.

Pentoxyverine Citrate:
Pentoxyverine Citrate can cause slight drowsiness and on rare occasions minor gastric disorders or skin rash.Cetylpyridinium Chlorides and Sodium Citrate:

Treat by administration of emetic and gastric lavage.

Bottles of 50 mL, 100 mL and 200 mL.
