PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION A 10.1 Antitussives and Expectorants
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION Guaiphenesin is an expectorant.
INDICATIONS For the alleviation of cough.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS Do not use if there is a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
WARNINGS Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Do not use in children under 2 years of age except on medical advice.
If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE Shake well before use.
Adults and children over 12 years. Three medicine measuresful (15 mL) Children 6-11 years. Two medicine measuresful (10 mL)
Repeat every four hours as needed. No more than six doses per day.
SIDE EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS Guaiphenesin:
Guaiphenesin may cause gastro-intestinal discomfort. Very large doses cause nausea and vomiting.

Treatment is supportive and symptomatic.
IDENTIFICATION Vicks Acta Plus Expectorant Cough Syrup is an orange, opaque, viscous liquid with a menthol/orange flavour and aroma.
PRESENTATION Bottles of 50 mL and 100 mL.
STORAGE DIRECTIONS Store below 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
