COMPOSITION:
Each 100g ointment contains:
  Allantoin         1,0g
  Phenol         0,5g
  Camphor         0,5g
  Menthol         0,6g

PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION:
A 13.6 Emollients and protectives.

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
Blistex Lip Ointment contains allantoin, which appears to have keratin-dispersing action and stimulates tissue formation and hastens wound healing. It also contains camphor, which has a mild anaesthetic action and phenol which is bacteriostatic and also has a local anaesthetic action. Menthol has an analgesic effect.

INDICATIONS:
Blistex Lip Ointment is recommended for the prevention and relief of dry, chapped and sunburnt lips and for the symptomatic relief of cold sores.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
Allergy or sensitivity to any of the ingredients.

WARNING:
Do not use near the eyes.

DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY.
Dry chapped lips
At first symptoms, apply and massage thoroughly. Repeat every half hour until condition is relieved.
Cold sores
At first sign of a cold sore, gently apply and massage Blistex Lip Ointment into the immediate (sensitive) area. Repeat every half hour until the condition is relieved.

SIDE-EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
If the condition persists, or if a rash, swelling or irritation develops, discontinue use and consult a physician. Sensitivity or allergic reactions to Blistex Lip Ointment may occur.

Tubes of 6g.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
Store below 25°C
Keep tightly closed.
