COMPOSITION
Each gram contains 280 mg tioconazole.

A.13.9.2 Dermatological fungicides
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION
Tioconazole is a synthetic broad spectrum antifungal agent.
INDICATIONS
Trosyd Nail Paint is indicated for the topical treatment of nail infections due to susceptible dermatophytes, yeasts and other fungi.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Trosyd is contra-indicated in individuals who have been shown to be hypersensitive to imidazole antifungal agents, or to any of the components of the preparation.
Safety in pregnancy has not been established.
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Trosyd Nail Paint should be evenly applied to the affected nail and surrounding nail fold twice a day, in the morning and evening. The duration of treatment required is usually between three and six months.
SIDE-EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
Symptoms of local irritation have been reported by some patients. They are usually seen during the first weeks of treatment. However, if a sensitivity reaction develops with the use of Trosyd, treatment should be discontinued and appropriate therapy instituted.
KNOWN SYMPTOMS OF OVERDOSAGE AND PARTICULARS OF ITS TREATMENT
The treatment of sensitivity reactions is symptomatic.

A clear, mobile, very pale yellow to yellow liquid.
PRESENTATION
Amber glass bottles fitted with an applicator brush, each containing 12 mL.
