COMPOSITION:
Each capsule contains
  Aminophylline 130 mg
  Ephedrine HCl 25 mg
  Amylobarbitone 25 mg
PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION:
A 10.2 Bronchodilators

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
Aminophylline relaxes involuntary muscle and relieves bronchial spasm. Ephedrine HCl is a bronchodilator. Amylobarbitone, by virtue of its sedative effect, calms down a patient in spasm and inhibits anxiety from precipitating future spasms.

INDICATIONS:
Repasma Capsules are used for the treatment and prevention of asthmatic spasms and attacks.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
The use of ephedrine is contra-indicated in the presence of coronary thrombosis, hypertension and thyrotoxicosis. It should be used with caution in patients who have other cardiac complaints. The use of barbiturates is contra-indicated in patients with porphyria, renal and hepatic insufficiency. Repasma Capsules should be given with caution, if at all, to patients who are known to misuse drugs or who are suspected of this.

DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Adults: 1 Capsule when needed up to six times a day.

SIDE-EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
Gastric irritation and diuresis may occur. In large doses, ephedrine may give rise to certain minor reactions such as giddiness, headache, nausea, vomiting, sweating, thirst, palpitation, tremor, muscular weakness, anxiety, restlessness and insomnia. Although those symptoms normally occur in overdosage, in hyper-sensive patients they may occur at normal dosage levels. The incidence of these side effects is greatly reduced by the presence of Amylobarbitone. The barbiturate side-effects that may occur include respiratory depression and depression of other vital body functions. The presence of ephedrine greatly reduces the incidence and severity of these effects.

KNOWN SYMPTOMS OF OVERDOSAGE AND PARTICULARS OF ITS TREATMENT:
For known symptoms of overdosage, see side-effects above. Treatment of overdosage is symptomatic.

IDENTIFICATION:
A no. 3 capsule with an orange body and navy blue cap, containing a white powder, printed "Repasma" on one part and "LENNON" and the Lennon Logo on the other.

PRESENTATION:
Packs of 100, 500, 1000 and 5000 capsules.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
Store below 25°C.
Protect from light and moisture.
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
