PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION:
A 11.2 Gastrointestinal an antispasmodics and cholinolytics (anti-cholinergics).
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
Ether is a carminative. It is also believed to exert some antispasmodic action on the intestinal musculature.
INDICATIONS:
For use in the treatment of cramps, colic and flatulence.
WARNING:
This preparation is inflammable. Keep away from an open flame.
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Adults: 1 to 2 mL (15 to 30 drops) in a wineglassful of water three times a day.
Children: 0,5 to 1 mL (10 to 15 drops) with water.
SIDE-EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
Sleepiness.
KNOWN SYMPTOMS OF OVERDOSAGE AND PARTICULARS OF ITS TREATMENT:
Respiratory failure and cardiac arrest. Contact the nearest poison centre and alert your physician.
IDENTIFICATION:
A bright, colourless liquid with the odour of ether.
PRESENTATION:
20 mL bottles.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.
Keep container tightly closed, and protect from light.
Store below 25°C, away from an open flame.
