COMPOSITION:
Each 1 mL ampoule contains 1 mg Adrenaline as tartrate.
PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION:
A. 5.1 (Adrenomimetic).
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
Adrenaline is an adrenomimetic hormone.
INDICATIONS:
Adrenaline is used in a wide range of indications for its sympathomimetic properties.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
Hypertension, arteriosclerosis, coronary disease and hyperthyroidism. Not to be given to patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors.
WARNING:
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Discard contents if discoloured.
By subcutaneous injection. Adults: 0,2 to 0,5 mL.
Children: 0,1 to 0,3 mL.
SIDE EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
Hypersensitivity may be shown by anxiety, restlessness, dizziness, headache, palpitations, rapid pulse, tremors, weakness and coldness of the extremities, even with small doses, and especially when given in conjunction with local anaesthetics. Gangrene may follow infiltration into the fingers or toes.
KNOWN SYMPTOMS OF OVERDOSAGE AND ITS TREATMENT:
In overdosage the above symptoms occur. Because of the rapid onset and short duration of adrenaline action severe toxic reactions should be treated with an immediate IV infusion of a quick-acting sympatholytic such as 5 or 10 mg of phentolamine mesylate. Amyl nitrite or other vasodilators may be useful.

Clear solution in amber ampoules.
PRESENTATION:
1 mL amber ampoules in cartons of 10 and 100.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
Store below 25°C. Protect from light.
Keep out of reach of children.
