NORIVITE contains the important vitamins in high concentration, and is therefore useful in all cases of Vitamin B-Complex deficiency. NORIVITE has the well-known action of Vitamin B-Complex preparations on neurological, cardiovascular and gastro-intestinal conditions, all of which require the whole B-Complex in preference to one or a single Vitamin B.
It is a painless intramuscular injection.
NORIVITE is indicated in all conditions of Vitamin B deficiency; in many cases of illnesses of an infective nature; during convalescence, alcoholism and peripheral neuritis; in alcoholic delirium tremens; in antibiotic and sulphonamide therapy; in cases of exhaustion, lack of concentration, forgetfulness and nervousness.
Pantothenol-containing products are contra-indicated in haemophiliacs and in patients with ileus due to mechanical obstruction.
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE
The usual adult dosage is: 1 to 2 mL per injection intramuscularly daily or two to three times weekly depending on the severity of the condition treated.
SIDE-EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
Toxic reactions have been produced by injection of 50 mg thiamine. Pantothenol-containing drugs should be given cautiously with or immediately after parasympathomimetic drugs or suxamethonium. The risk of anaphylactic shock increases with repeated administration of thiamine by the parenteral route.
