COMPOSITION:

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
Carbo-Syrup reduces the viscosity of non-infected secretions from mucous cells in the respiratory tract.
INDICATIONS:
Adjunctive therapy in respiratory tract disorders characterised by excessively viscous mucous in the absence of infection.
CONTRA INDICATIONS:
Active peptic ulcer. Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CHILDREN UNDER 2 YEARS
Adults: Two to three medicine measures (10 to 15 mL) three times a day.
Children: (6 to 12 years) One medicine measure (5 mL) three times a day.
Children: (2 to 5 years) Half a medicine measure (2,5 mL) given twice to four times daily (according to age).
SIDE-EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
Nausea, headache, gastric discomfort, diarrhoea, palpitations, gastro-intestinal bleeding and skin rash have occured. CARBO-SYRUP should be used with caution in patients with a history of peptic or duodenal ulcer. The safety of CARBO-SYRUP in pregnancy has not been established.
KNOWN SYMPTOMS OF OVERDOSAGE AND PARTICULARS OF ITS TREATMENT:
See "Side-effects and special precautions". Treatment of overdosage is symptomatic and supportive.

CARBO-SYRUP is a clear, red syrupy liquid with a pleasant cherry taste.

200 mL amber plastic bottles.
STORAGE DIRECTIONS:
Store below 25°C. Protect from light.
