PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION: A 5.8 Preparations for the common cold.
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION: FLUCOL combines the antihistamine properties of mepyramine maleate, with the antitussive properties of codeine, the decongestant properties of phenylephrine, the antipyretic properties of paracetamol and the stimulant action of caffeine.
INDICATIONS: Flu, common cold and sinusitis
CONTRA-INDICATIONS: FLUCOL should be administered with caution to patients with hypertension, cardiac disorders, diabetes mellitus or peripheral vascular disease.
WARNINGS: Do not use continuously for more than ten days without consulting your doctor. Patients suffering from liver or kidney disease should take FLUCOL under medical supervision.
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Two tablets every four hours.
Children 6-12 years:
One tablet every four hours.
SIDE-EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS: The use of this medicine may lead to drowsiness which is aggravated by the simultaneous intake of alcohol.
KNOWN SYMPTOMS OF OVERDOSAGE AND PARTICULARS OF ITS TREATMENT: Symptoms of overdosage include nausea and vomiting. Liver damage, which may be fatal, may only appear after a few days.
IDENTIFICATION: An orange, blue and white mottled tablet.
PRESENTATION: Packs of 1000 tablets.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS: Store in a cool dry place.
