Owners Louisa and Ian Punt-Fouche have transformed a winery into a shop for selling our olive oil and other farm products, as well as an art gallery in which art exhibitions will be hosted on a regular basis. A large piece of rose quartz is making its way to the Western Cape to be displayed in the gallery/shop. This stone has travelled widely and has been an intrinsic part of their lives.

 The shop offers

• Olive oil tastings and sales of our Karoo Virgin Olive Oil in various quantities from 250 ml to 5 litres in bottles  and tins.

• Good Masterton's coffee  

• Himalayan mountain clothes, that are environmentally friendly and do not cause deforestation or make use of child labor. Most of the raw materials such as hemp, nettle, cotton, silk, natural pashima and paper products come from the mountains, and are made by hand locally. The mountain clothes are very appropriate for the extreme climate of the Great Karoo, beautifully crafted and eco-friendly.  

• Handmade stone and silver jewelry by "Cow-designs" - each piece is individually made.

• Art exhibitions in the Gallery in "Die Pienk Klip" and on the walls of the guesthouse.

• On the premises is an Art Studio which can be visited with permission of the in-house artist.

Retreats

Watershed

Watershed is a cluster of four interlinked showrooms, which opened in December 2011 in Prince Albert (Great Karoo). This collective consist of a shop, Karoo Collection and three galleries, Jurgen Schadeberg Gallery, Alex Hamilton Gallery and the JP Meyer and Anthony Shapiro space. Jurgen Schadeberg Gallery: Jurgen Schadeberg, sometimes referred to as 'The father of South African Photography', is a principle figure in South African and international photography. His body of work spans 60 years and includes 150,000 negatives, which captures a wealth of timeless and iconic images such as Nelson Mandela and Miriam Makeba. A wide selection of Drum Magazine covers and Fine Art Archive Silver Toned Prints, all printed by Schadeberg are available from the Jurgen Schadeberg Gallery. Karoo Collection: It's shopping, but not as you know it. Karoo Collection offers a wide range of top quality retro furniture sourced from around South Africa , restored and re-upholstered. Our products that are all designed and manufactured in South Africa , by South Africans include boldly printed fabrics and cushions, hats and accessories, graphic art, posters and beadwork. Karoo Collection offers a unique and extraordinary shopping experience. Alex Hamilton Gallery: This contemporary little gallery in the center of the Watershed complex exhibits the work of Cape Town pop artist, Alex Hamilton. Hamilton ’s work explores the history of popular culture and our society’s fascination with celebrity cult. Spanning genres as wide as history, literature, pop music, politics, media, sport and many more, these small brightly coloured icons of 7.5 cm x 11cm are created using hand-cut stencil portraits. Hamilton also extended the stencil-cutting medium into architectural scapes, creating the 'The Prince Albert Collection'. From the enchanting wind pumps in the middle of town, to the Karoo sun that bounces off the whitewashed facets of Victorian cottages, this collection reflects on Prince Albert 's architectural personality and creative aura. Exhibitions in this gallery are changed every 2 months. JP Meyer and Anthony Shapiro: JP is an artist with an interest in palaeontology. His paintings are influenced by the colours, textures and forms of the Karoo landscape. He lives and works in Prince Albert . Anthony is a ceramicist with a studio in Cape Town . His favorite medium is porcelain that he transforms into the paper-thin, minimalist bowls for which he has become very well known. They became friends while doing residencies at Buddhist Centres in Kwa-Zulu Natal.
