Great Karoo Hospitality !

Newly built in classic Victorian-style, AMY'S offers everything one would expect from traditional architecture such as - high ceilings; over-sized rooms; wide corridors; and lovely sash windows that frame beautiful views.

Enjoy the freedom of space, the peace, and the tranquillity. And, because AMY'S  is let as a unit, enjoy her all to yourself!

The spacious open-plan living area at AMY'S  offers home-from-home comforts. The dιcor is an interesting mix of new, antiques and customised furniture; the fully equipped kitchen offers the chef a 4-plate stove, microwave, and, of course, the very best in crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils.

Leading off the kitchen is a separate scullery/laundry housing the whites - fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. In the broom cupboard will be found a vacuum cleaner; ironing board and iron, as well as a fire extinguisher (just in case the oil boils over!).

The sleeping accommodation at AMY'S comprises 3 double bedrooms of generous proportions - main-en-suite 2 x extra-length single beds; adjoining room 2 x single beds; guest room 1 x double bed.  A wardrobe, dressing table and seating is provided in all the bedrooms. The linen is white cotton percale.

AMY'S  bathrooms comfortably cater for 6 guests: main-en-suite has an Edwardian-style bath and shower; the other a shower. The towels are white, thick and fluffy; and toiletries, plus a hair-drier are provided for the convenience of guests.

Dine on the full-length covered patio with its magnificent views of the Swartberg Mountains.  Early risers will enjoy the exceptional beauty of the sun peeping over the mountain tops, spreading her warm glow across the sky.

Unique to AMY'S  is her backyard - in fact a couple of acres of backyard! This is a perfect place for a traditional South African braai while soaking up the ambience of the Karoo .

Spectacular is the only word that adequately describes the 360 degree views of the thatched gazebo; an amazing panorama stretching from the majestic Swartberg Mountain Range to the Karoo Plains. This is a lovely vantage point from which to enjoy the delightful vista of the beautifully preserved houses in the village with its stunning church steeple. Table and seating are provided for guests wishing to tarry awhile, enjoying moments of quiet reflection (or simply sipping sundowners at sunset!).

Our guests love a stroll of our unique 8 acre Karoo garden with its wealth of indigenous Karoo flora. Many plants have been labelled for the added enjoyment of garden enthusiasts; and artists and photographers will find much to capture in their field of interest.

AMY'S  Place has soul, is light and airy, and will steal your heart. Hosts Laurie and Marlene welcome you to this very special self-catering accommodation within 1 km of the historical village of Prince Albert .
