The Pat Busch Private Nature Reserve incorporates the greater portion of the farms, valleys and mountains. This allows for an extremely large bio-diversity to co-exist. Much of this natural fauna and flora can be viewed with patience while hiking along our various trails. The species range from small indigenous antelope, a large variety of birds, some predators and a treasure trove of trees, vegetation and fynbos, including a rare Protea species, Vexatorella latebrosa, which was discovered in 1954 but only classified in the late 1970's and can be found only on our Farm Berg-en-Dal.

Our recently established Klaasvoogds Game Reserve is adjacent to our Nature Reserve and is situated in the lower lying foothills of the Langeberg Mountains. It is the home of re-introduced indigenous game including Black Wildebeest, Gemsbok, Vaal Rhebok and Zebra. By prior arrangement our guide will be pleased to lead the tour through the Game Reserve from our open viewing vehicle.
