Pat Busch Private Nature Reserve

Our farms operate as deciduous fruit and wine farms supplying the canning industry and the Ashton Co-op Wine Cellar respectively. We recently established our own exclusive, hand-operated wine cellar, which saw the first press in 2002. Guests are welcome to enquire further.

The farm is situated on the well-known Robertson Wine Route, a leading golf course is only fifteen kilometers away and the Montegu Hot Springs lie just beyond the scenic Kogmans Kloof Pass, renowned for rock
climbing. Simply explore the area and discover the many wonders our corner of the boland has to offer the enthusiastic culturalist.

Hiking and biking In our nature reserve you can hike along various trails totalling up to 40 km. Bring your mountain bike and explore our extensive orchards and vineyards at your leisure. Angling and water sports Perennial streams originating on our farm, feed dams containing with Bass and Trout for the enthusiastic angler. One of the dams is also used for swimming and canoeing.

Perhaps you would like to enjoy mountain-top sundowners overlooking a spectacular panorama after conquering our tough 4x4 mountain trail.

Birdwatching
Birdwatchers will not be disappointed by our flourishing bird life. Martial and Black eagles visit frequently and even the Fish Eagle has been sighted over our farms.

Game reserve
Our recently established and flourishing game reserve in the foothills of the mountains can be enjoyed by means of an open game-viewing vehicle. The game-viewing tours are by arrangement and will be led by our personal guide. See OUR RESERVES page for more information.
