Checking which COM port has been assigned to the Option Modem by Windows 95

I am running Windows 95. I have installed the Option modem and it's Windows 95 driver.

How do I check what COM port Windows 95 has assigned to my Option modem?
When you insert your Option 2-in-1 modem into a PC running Windows 95, Windows 95 will automatically asign the modem a free COM (COMmunications) port. The modem then becomes the "new" COM port.

To check which COM port Windows 95 has assigned to your Option modem, go to the Modem Properties section of the Windows 95 Control Panel.

Follow these instructions to get there:

Step 1:...Press START in the Windows 95 taskbar.

Step 2: ... Go up to SETTINGS

Step 3: ... Go across to CONTROL PANEL.

Step 4: ... Click on CONTROL PANEL.

Step 5: ... Select Modems

Step 6: ...Click on Modems
You'll then see a list of installed modems. The Option modem should be in this list.

Step 7: ...Highlight the Option modem.

Step 8: ...Click on the PROPERTIES button

Step 9: ..
You'll then see which COM Port has been assigned to your Option modem by Windows 95
