| For many years, the Northern Midlands has been regarded as very much a Cinderella region, being as is it, remote from the commercial hub of Durban and Pietermariztburg. From a tourism and leisure perspective however, the region brims with development promise. There are tremendous opportunities offered by the Newcastle area. It is a stone's throw away from the tourist spots and hiking trails of the Drakensberg, we have the scenic Balele mountain range right on our doorstep, the historic battlefields, the sprawling game reserves and excellent trout farms all around us. Only 20km from our site lies the major Chelmsford Dam - the longest dam in Africa. |

Balele Leisure,
through our Monte Vista Casino & Resort development will energise the
commercial and social life of Northern Kwa-Zulu Natal. We fully intend
to elevate the region to a more prominent status as a significant destination
for both the local and international tourism markets.

It is also within
easy travelling distance of the Vaal Triangle making it a viable and scenic
destination for daytrippers or weekend getaways.
To achieve our objectives, we have put into a place an internationally recognised casino and hotel management team. The hotel will be a Ramada Inn Franchise, which is the largest division of the global Marriott Group which manages 1500 hotels worldwide. |

Our Consortium is widely representative of the various stakeholders in the region and we have made a commitment to these stakeholders to accelerate a broad based development process. |

| Our greatest challenge will be to strike a balance between being exciting enough to attract the tourist market whilst remaining accessible and affordable to the local population. As a family resort, Monte Vista will offer far more than just gaming opportunities. Our project will transform Zone 3 into an exciting entertainment and tourism centre. |
