All in all it was a very successful event in that all the boaters where able to gain a considerable amount of experience in racing on an international level. The Team managed to get 2 drivers into the final namely Colin Baldwin in the 15cc FSR-V class and Myself in the 15cc Hydro class.

We where also able to get one person on the podium for the prize giving which was myself obtaining 6th place in the final for 15cc Hydro class.

Once again South Africa where able to go home proud making a good name for ourselves due to our conduct and performance.

Tiennie de Jager was also our Team Manager and I am sure we where all thankful for his arrangements to ensure we had all the logistics sorted out. The Baldwin's can be thanked for going to Slovenje earlier to arrange for the fuel etc as the rest of the Team arrived just before the event and would not have had much time to still have to get the fuel etc.

The 2002 world will be our next challenge and hopefully we will be able to reap the benefits at that event.
