Nema has taken some blows over the last couple of months due to the squatter camp creeping closer to the dam now. There have been some incidents where the squatters have stolen boaters property while racing etc. Nema committee has since then decided that this is not safe anymore and are not racing there. The committee also feels that the boaters must not go there alone. Always in a group! Alternative waters are being looked for at present.
The Team selected for this years worlds are also getting themselves ready. Some are taking it very serious and even went to Cape Town to test their boats out at see level. Lets wish them well in their efforts. I have not yet received any info regards the official Team but will let you know if i get the info..
