The Belgium race will be taking place over the 22nd of May to the 24th of May. Registration will be taking place on the 21st.to ensure that all the contestants can register in time to race in the tight weekends program. This race is held just for FSR-V and is a very prestigious occasion. Basically all the top International drivers will take part and its been said that we will have all the current World Champions participating this year. This race will give us a good bench mark as to where we are for the next World Championship to take place in Slovenia next year (2000).
From South Africa, we have entered 4 boats. One boat each in A and C and 2 boats in B class. I will be running the A and B class, Colin Baldwin will be running his C class and Willie will be running his B class. I wanted to get a link to a Belgium site but unfortunately they do not have a site available yet. The closest I can get is this Belgium site. I have however got the prelim race register for this event. There are two word documents that can be viewed. Word1, Word 2. These files are however very big. Please be patient to down load them. It really is a full event running 75 A class boats. 61 B class boats and a wopping 121 boats in C class. This is more entrants than the 98 World Championships for FSR-V.

Well, registration is done, plane tickets are purchased , accommodation is arranged and transport is sorted out. It's just the frantic work on the boats to ensure that they perform for the D day. The Baldwin`s will be running our PICCO motors as usual in all 3 classes and Willie will be running his CMB. We will be departing from Johannesburg International Airport on Sabena Airlines at 23:20 on the19th of May. It's going to be a late night for us but I am sure this will all be worth it.
