Services

Services commence every Sunday at 7:00 p.m.

Services should finish by 8:15 p.m. after which the congregation is invited to tea in the Church hall.

Healing can be arranged at any time, and is typically conducted from 6 p.m. on Sundays before the service. This must be arranged beforehand by contacting one of the members.

A typical service starts with an inspirational poem read by the chairperson, followed by the reading of the Seven Principles. After the opening hymn, the lights are dimmed to make it more comfortable for the eyes during the healing meditation. Here a list of names, prepared by the congregation, is read out aloud, while all present direct their minds to the healing of those persons.

The healing meditation is followed by the lesson reading, which is a short passage chosen by a member of the congregation. It can be from any source, and is usually related to the teachings found in great works such as the Bible or other religious source.

A guest speaker then presents an address which can be prepared, unprepared (inspirational), or channeled from spirit.

The clairvoyant (who may be the same person as the guest speaker) then gives individual messages to members of the congregation. This is a demonstration of the ability to commune with the spirit world, and time limits the clairvoyant to a few messages only. Different clairvoyants work in different ways, and messages may be in many forms. For more information on the workings of these mediums, look through the links provided.
