General
|
|
Impala are one of the most numerous antelope in South Africa and
are very popular animals for private game farms. They can form very
large herds and the males establish territories that they actively
defend during the mating season. Impala are both browsers and grazers,
enabling them to survive in many habitats. The Impala is one of
the finest jumpers in Africa, known to clear 3m in height and have
been recorded clearing 12m in length. They are the favored prey
of Leopard as well as Wild Dog. |
