surrounded by a game reserve. Here one can see a variety of game
including the endangered Cape Mountain Zebra, the Black Wildebeest and the
heaviest flying bird in the world - the Kori Bustard. You can also
experience the amazing plant life of the Karoo.

Valley of Desolation

The Valley of Desolation provides tremendous fascination and beauty
with its balancing dolomite columns.
Visit nearby Nieu-Bethesda where you can see the renowned and
thought-provoking Owl House. This old world hamlet is also one of
the artist centres of South Africa. You could even find your own
fossils embedded in the rocks of the stream running through it.
