AREA :
We
are situated 60km north west of Cradock in
the Great Karoo.
Take the Aloedale / Fish River Station turnoff off the R61 between
Cradock & Graaff Reinet.
GPS reading is : S 30 degree 56.346 longitudinal.; E 25 deg. 11.717
latitudinal.
Our
game drives are done on our properties measuring 7 000 hectares.

The
area is full of Acacia
karoo trees, the
karoo bush (which
gives our lamb such a unique taste) and various types of Aloe
plants, but to name a few. Some
of the grass types found on our properties include tall bushman grass,
finger grass and Aristida
species. During our
summer months (Oct to Mar) you will find several migrant bird species in
this area such as the
European Bee eater and the
White
stork.

ACCOMMODATIONS: |
CLIFTON GAME LODGE
Accommodation in a THATCHED RONDAVEL
en suite complex. Rooms are
very comfortable with full amenities (i.e. hot and cold water and flush toilets,
showers etc).
We can sleep a maximum of 6 people. We have 3 bedrooms (
2
double rooms & 1 room with 3 single beds ), hot
& cold water with showers & flush toilets,
warm beds, bedding, towels, soap, toilet paper, electric
heaters, fully furnished.
Outside Braai & eating area has a gas
skottel braai , 3 plate gas stove, cooking
utensils, plates, mugs, electric kettles, glasses,
fridge / freezer, cutlery, potjie, pots, meat
dishes,
ladles,
marinating dishes, salt & pepper only.
All cooking is to be done outside at
the braai area. No cooking may be done
in the thatched rondavels.

A swimming pool is situated next to the
complex.
Our braai and bonfire area is situated
under a pear tree, which is approximately
100 years old.
