Ryan's success story on the JK diet

I started the JK diet with my 3 1/2-year old son, Ryan, about one month ago. I began having problems immediately because I could not completely control the diet he received at his preschool. I began by
stopping peanut butter and nut products (he didn't particular care for those anyway, luckily for me) and I have tried to stop as much sugar as possible. Due to added and hidden sugar in SO many products, though, this has been not been completely possible. I have found myself shopping more and more in the diebetic and healthfood sections of our grocery store. Anyway, in the one month his pulling has decreased dramatically. I notice that if he gets candy from a friend or has a drink of pop he becomes agitated and nervous and begins to pull. I plan to gradually implement as much of the diet as I can, because it's the only thing that has worked so far!!!

As far as medications go (I have related this story before and received lots of helpful feedback), Ryan was prescribed Paxil by a child psychologist who had not even examined him. I was concerned because no child studies had been done on Paxil with children and the correct dosage was unknown, as well as the short- and long-term side  effects. Needless to say, after MANY suggestions by concerned TTMers, I took him off the Paxil. It never helped his pulling anyway.

So, anyway, hope this helps! Feel free to contact me anytime
