Miracles from God
I've set up this page to 'remind' me of the wonderful ways that God has been working in my life (in the trich arena). It is so easy for us to forget the miracles that God perform. This is almost for myself, to ensure that I never forget what He has done.
26/8/98 - God is good! He works in mysterious
ways!
Last night I went with the boys (and my parents) to a music group. It was for their
school's money project, and Louis was at bibleschool so we went on our own. The moment the
leader of the band walked on stage, I said to my mom: His hair looks suspicious... I'm
sure he's a puller! She didn't think so, just thought it was normal male balding. But I
could see it wasn't. It looked just like I did at one stage. He
could get away with it, because people thought it was just normal balding, but I could see
for sure it wasn't. "Well, I've never confronted a puller directly, and I didn't know
what to do. All I knew is that I couldn't leave him like that, not offering a helping
hand.
In the break, I went to the table where they sold their CD's. I took one and then stood +-
4-5 steps from the table. By then there were 30+ people around the table. The band was
there, selling CD's. I stood alone and guess what happened? (God intervened!) The next
moment, this guy came walking up to me! I was standing on my own, and I have no idea why
he did that, except that God lead him to do it. (this guy
is a christian too). I asked him to forgive me if I'm wrong, but I have a hairloss
problem, and I suspect that he may have the same problem. He admitted it, but said that it
wasn't very bad. It was bad! If it was a woman, there would be no ways
that she would go without a wig. I gave him my card with my phone number and website
address etc. I hope he will phone! But isn't it wonderful how God sent him to walk
over to me?
8/98 - Our homecell
For most of us it is quite a wonderful experience to meet another trichster in real life. Well, this incredible thing has happened. Our homecell (at the best days), consist of 14 people. Many times were are less than that. We felt that our homecell wasn't growing spiritually, and we wanted more love to be between the members. Louis is the homecell leader and he decided that we will all get 'adopted children'. We put the names in a holder, and then pulled names. I pulled a guy in the group. This guy was supposed to phone me and check how I was, and pray for me. I realised soon that it wouldn't work if he didn't know about my trich as trich and the site, and the e-mail I get is a very big part of my daily life. Anyway, so I made an appointment to see him one day, and to tell him about my trich. To make a long story short, I told him all, and after he listened patiently, what did he say? He said: Well, I pull out my hair too! It isn't very noticable, as he pull mostly chest hair now days, but at one stage he pulled out all his eyebrows, and he also colours his hair, to get rid of the grey, which also chases him around like it does for me. Isn't it wonderful how God brought us together?
You would think that was the end, wouldn't you? Well, this month we pulled again to get new 'adopted children'. I pulled a lady, and knew I had to tell her too (she is new in the group, and new in Welkom). Anyway, so I did the same thing... made an appointment and told her. One guess what she said! Yes! I pull out my hair too!
Can you believe it? 3 people out of 14 - all trichsters? Well, God is good and His ways are at times so 'weird' that our human brains cannot comprehend it. I praise His name!
