False Eyelashes

About the false eyelashes. Many people asked me questions about  them, and I am SO GLAD to share what I know with all of you, because  they have made such a difference in my life. I get mine from Cheryn International. (address on Amanda's site).  Sorry if I go into too much detail, but these were things I learned the  hard way - trying many different things. First, I use the ones called "Flair". I like them, because they are thick enough that you don't have to put mascara on them (which makes them really hard to clean). I like the charcoal colored ones because they are just dark enough to look like you have mascara on, but still very natural. Cheryn's lashes are different from all of the rest because the band that they are attached to is very thin, so you barely even see it. She sells the lash cleaner, a pink liquid, which is a must. The best glue to use, which she also sells, is called Duo. I like the dark tone colored one, because it is less likely to dry shiny. Now for the application details... First, I put on a black, waterproof eyeliner - top and bottom. Then, I apply the false lashes. After they are completely dry, I go over the band of them with a waterproof black liquid eyeliner (I can give you the brands that I have found to work and last the best all day if anyone is interested - I think I have tried them all!) The liquid liner covers up any spots that might dry a little shiny. The whole process, after a little practice, takes about 15 minutes a day! AND, I have never had anyone notice that I wear FALSE lashes!!!!! They really do look very natural! It just makes me feel a little more 'normal'. I know that when people are staring at me now, it is only because of the funny looking brows that I have to draw on. Extra tips about the lashes... The less glue you can use, the better. They do feel a little funny at first, but you really do get used to them, and eventually don't even notice that they're there! Keep them in the liquid cleaner whenever you are not wearing them - it softens them and makes them easier to apply. Don't wear them to bed - they just get all kinked up and bent, and then aren't really any good. I keep some toothpicks and the glue in my purse with me for touch-ups whenever it is needed - which is not very often! The only time they really start to come loose is if you cry. Lastly, just keep practicing - you really will get the hang of it!!!!

I have wore false eyelashes since I was 15 yrs old. There is a trick!! Buy the cheapest pair that you can but buy a regular tube of glue. After you take your lashes out of the package put them on a flat surface and bend them into a horseshoe shape. Leave them like this for a little while so they can shape themselves. If they are to long for your eyes, meaning the strip not lashes, cut only from the outside. Next get you a mirror and good lighting. Apply a small amount of glue to the lash strip. Hold it for about 1 min or so , so the glue has a chance to start setting. I look down into the mirror to put mine on. You might find looking up is easier for you. It might take a few trys but with a little patiences and practice you can do it!! people are always saying I have very nice eyes and if they knew that I did not have one lash on my eyes they'd be surprised to say the least!!I also use eyeliner on my top lid under the lashes so you don't have to get that close to your real lashes. Hope this helps a little for you. You know what? People will remember you no matter if you have lashes or not. Just let your light shine through those pretty eyes of yours and They'll remember you for your spirit and after all that's what's important!!
