Can trich cause eye problems?

Putting off going to the eye doc for years could be very bad in the
situation where someone's eyesight is declining due to a disease or
condition, such as glaucoma. That is probably the main concern of the
eye doctor. I have very poor eyesight, it hasn't declined in years,
but I go annually anyway to make sure that my retina is healthy and to
get a glaucoma check.

Other minor points are that eyelashes protect the eyes from debris.
My eye doctor expressed concern about that, but not to the extent of
worrying about it leading to loss of sight. It's just better for the
eyeballs to have them there.

Additionally, some methods of pulling could lead to infection in the
eyelid - - I know I've had this happen to me in my younger years when
my lash pulling was severe. Tweezers are also not good to have around
the eyes. I've never poked myself in the eye with my tweezers, thank
goodness, but it's not out of the realm of possibility when pulling.

Anyway, I'd like to encourage everyone who has been putting off their
eye doc appts to go.
