Presenter Profile
Pat Pillai
Pat Pillai is a Vita Award winning stage actor who discovered television 8 years ago. He has worked extensively as a broadcaster, hosting many shows and channels in his time. However, he's passion lay in media management, and this is where he intends to devote most of his energies and talents.
He is currently Executive Producer for Primedia Pictures and is now part of a team of specialists who are investing in the local film industry, with the intention of owning premier film content and then establishing a global distribution network.
Technology is Pat's other passion. He has been with the programme since its inception. In Touch is a wonderful way for him to stay in touch with the latest developments.
Greg Melvill-Smith
Greg Mellvil-Smith not only presents for "In Touch", he also writes scripts for the programme. Greg is a freelance actor, writer and voice over artist. He spent three years with the innovative and physically rooted Loft Theatre Company in Durban, then moved to Johannesburg to work in a freelance capacity. Greg has performed in more than 30 professional theatre productions and in many films and Television Series.
He believes that technology should be a tool, and that's how he interacts with it. He is not a 'bof', and tries to place the latest developments into everymans perspective.
Greg says he has often turned Spielberg down, because he wants to retain integrity in the South African Theatre community.
Sally Burdett
I was born in England 31 years ago but have grown up mainly in South Africa. I graduated from Rhodes University in Grahamstown with a BJOURN degree, majoring in Journalism and Speech and Drama.
I am a radio presenter by profession, I co-anchor the SABC's morning current affairs programme AMLIVE, which gets me up at 4am on weekdays. When I'm not grilling politicians on air, I'm charging off to various interesting locations for IN TOUCH - finding out about explosive pool chemicals, playing about with the GPS systems for bulldozers or watching new age musicians make digital music.
