FUJIYAMA is one of the longest running Japanese restaurants in Cape Town. Situated in Sea Point, Cape Town's famous coastal holiday destination.

Running for approx. 12 years, FUJIYAMA has seen 4 different owners and has had her name changed at least twice. She is presently owned by Takanori Fijiwara. Mr. Fujiwara, who hails from Fukuoka, Japan, is also the sushi chef and a qualified teppanyaki chef.

The decor is "high tech Tokyo", she boasts a lovely tropical fish tank and incredibly decadent burgundy drapes, all of which make for a restaurant whose ambience is always relaxed and tranquil, no matter how busy. The perfect setting for Japanese cuisine.

The sushi and sashimi dishes are made in the sushi bar. The fresh fish available for the evening, is always on display at the bar, so you can make your choices and watch them being turned into works of art.

The menu is quite extensive, introducing the diner to a wide selection of cooked Japanese dishes over and above teppanyaki [food cooked on a hot steel surface] rated one of the top ten Japanese restaurants in the world, FUJIYAMA focuses on traditional Japanese culinary delights.
