SBIG-STV CCD CAMERA
Although the STV is mainly for auto-guiding, I have found it more than useful for imaging as well - specially from light polluted skies. I can now image deep sky objects from home and with it's "Track & Accumulate" function, polar alignment need not even be 100%. (See some results under Deep Sky section)
It is not always possible to go to dark skies and with the SBIG-STV as an imager, I find myself doing a lot more from home in the city. I have also made a "docking station" to fit any number of SLR lenses to the STV.
I use the STV in prime focus on the Meade LX200 10" SCT or piggy-back on the Meade with the focal reducer/e-finder and various extension tubes for wide field, as well as mounted on my German equatorial mount tracking in RA for portability.
