During the last few months of 2004, Carl and Abrama Ahlers decided to hang up their lab coats after 12 years of building Experilab to a successful venture.  However, the new owners, Francois and Ria Germishuizen are full of plans to take things even further!  Francois is a trained physicist, having spent 15 years in the research and development environment at the CSIR's National Laser Centre.  He is planning to bring his physics and laser optics expertise to good use in expanding Experilab's offerings.  Ria has been running her own accounting business for the past 5 years and will use her skills to ensure the continued financial wellbeing of the business.

The good news is that Science Parties will continue uninterrupted with expert support from Jean.  The Science Shows and Science Workshops will start up again within the next few months, as soon as Francois has tested (and hopefully survived!) all the necessary explosions.  Keep an eye on the website or phone our offices for dates.
