King Shaka Day -- KwaDukuza (Stanger) -- The Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini, traditional leaders and people of KwaZulu-Natal converge on Kwa-Dukuza the burial place and palace of King Shaka, founder of the Zulu nation. This event is held annually in memory of King Shaka, widely regarded as a brilliant military strategist and the greatest of all African Kings.

Reed Dance -- Nongoma; Enyokeni - One of the Kings palaces in the Nongoma District -- This is the annual ceremony of maidens held during the second week of September. Maidens from all over the province and from as far afield as the Kingdom of Swaziland flock to the Enyokeni Royal Palace to participate in the traditional dance of maidens.

Re-Enactment Battle of Talana -- Dundee (Talana Museum) --

Turtle Spotting -- St. Lucia -- Turtle spotting occurs from the month of November till March.

Paragliding Championships -- Boston / Bulwer --

Madiba's Children's Christmas Party -- Qunu Village

Sani Stagger -- Sani Pass -- This endurance race is not for the fainthearted or the unfit and is set in the magnificent, scenic mountains of the Southern Drakensberg and the event route is the awesome Sani Pass.
