Fish Species of the Southern Drakensberg KwaZulu Natal South Africa

Only seven fish species are found in the Southern Drakensberg region of KwaZulu Natal. Mountain streams are dominated by small species of minnows and catlets. The endemic and highly endangered Drakensberg Minnow is found in the alpine waters.

The area includes the southern section of the uKhahlamba-Drakensberg Park.
