The exquisite location of Kwa Maritane gives one the sense of being far away from it all and yet you are minutes away from civilisation. The lodge's shuttle service will transport you from the Pilanesberg airport or to Sun City for a small charge.

Tshukudu Bush Lodge (Legacy Hotels & Resorts) - Overlooking its own waterhole, set in rolling plains that abound with flora and fauna, Tshukudu Lodge, "Place of the Rhino", allows the visitor a special glimpse of Africa as she was: untouched, unspoilt, unforgettable ...

Tshukudu Lodge's accommodation consists of 6 newly refurbished luxury cottages and 2 newly refurbished standard cabins nestled on an isolated rocky outcrop in the heart of the Pilanesberg National Park.

Each of Tshukudu's luxury cottages are equipped with everything you could possible need from walking sticks to bubble bath. You will find a safety deposit box, mini bar, hairdryers, books and magazines as well as a tea and coffee facility. Slate floors and the thatched roof keep you cool in the hottest weather, and wood burning fires and hot water bottles keep you warm during cold winter nights.

As well as the 'Big Five' you might also find the nocturnal brown hyena, cheetah, hippo, crocodile and even sable. The focal point of the sunrise and afternoon game drives is game and bird identification. From September to March, we also offer a more leisurely sundowner drive, with sundowners and game viewing by spotlight.

Make a whole evening of it with an afternoon drive combined with a bush braai at our Boma. During the summer months of September to April, you enjoy the thrill of a nightlife encounter on our special night drives.

Then there is also the unique experience of a 130 metre underground tunnel leading to the Hide. The perfect vantage point for an intimate look into the wild, without being detected yourself.
